Update: 04.02.11 New Tutorial

I just made a new tutorial for Rayfire called
"Ground Smash". The idea was sent to me
from an anon on youtube and i feel it'll answer
some of the questions ive been getting
pertaining to Rayfire like, how to keep objects
still during simulation until you trigger them.

as usual you can check out the tutorial preview
on youtube here >>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pXLaYLKD0A&feature=channel_video_title

or you can download it straight from the sauce
here >>
http://www.mediafire.com/?7d28y0gd8xb8x

Remember guys, never take a bootleg version of my
tutorials, because they never include all of the
extras i provide as helpers/caddies to the main
tutorial.

any questions? just ask. . .

as always its important to have fun while learning, so have fun!!

  1. Hey Mr. Gawn, what's up? Any new tutorials on the horizon? Also, any chance you can let me know what kind of specs you got on your computer? Curious to know what kind of hardware you work with.

    Thanks!!

  3. ah ok, no worries. Thanks for the info. Also, I wanted to know what kind of settings you used for your super sprays and fumefx to get the look you had for the gatling gun combot video. I just worked out my afterburn/bullet Pflows and now need to move on to fumefx portion of my gun animation but, of course, my knowledge is still lacking. I'm also having trouble with my bullet casing shells but I just need to work out the drag and gravity.

  5. Hey Mr. Gawn! How have you been??? I just posted a new 3ds max animation I was hoping you would check out. It was inspired by your combot video and all of your great tutorials using afterburn, etc. If/when you get a chance, please check it out and leave me some feedback to let me know what you think. The link is below.

  7. dollah_3d: i checked yer stuff it looks good. yer modeling and lighting looks great. plus i like a man that runs sims. though i have to admit im not such a huge fan of yer robot design. the joints leave it very limited in motion. overall though nice work there my friend.

Anthony: i like what you did, it feels very much like the ComBot, lol. you are headed in the right direction but it still needs much work. both in animation and design. keep going brother!

Maya: thnx for your interest. im glad you like the tutorials and if you learned something then im doing my part and that also makes me feel good.
